The Perspective Mindset

As with any journey, it's important to look at the big picture. Without seeing things from a larger view, it's easy to get sidetracked and run off on small tangents or stay solely focused on what's right in front of you.

Is sales, it's easy to get caught up in focusing on the goals laid before you regarding your own territory. Sometimes these goals are the result of a collaborative process and sometimes you're just told what your goals are and then it's up to you to figure out how you're going to hit your numbers.

If your only focus is your own goals, you will miss the opportunities to make connections and drive value to your clients and customers.

I've learned over the years not to overreact to the goals I'm given, but look up from my goals and see the landscape around me. When I start to see the big picture, including everyone else's needs, then I can put my goals in perspective.
 

Knowing what I want to accomplish is important.

  • Yes, I want o hot or exceed my goals.

  • Yes, I want to honor my employer.

  • Yes, I want to serve my clients and customers.

  • Yes, I want to be successful in my endeavors.
